This talk will present two case studies of two of the largest research institutions in Germany and how Plone makes running and maintaining those sites easy.
The German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Forschungszentrum Jülich (FZJ) are two of Germany's largest research institutions. They run their public websites (www.dlr.de and www.fz-juelich.de) with Plone and host hundreds of websites. They use a multi-site setup that runs all websites in a single Plone instance, allowing institutes and other organizational units to create a new subsite with a few mouse clicks.
