AgGov: Plone Unifying Government Communication in Brasil
Find out how Agência Gov brought together news from over 300 government sites into one spot, hitting 20 million visits in just a year, all thanks to Plone.
"Agência Gov is a site developed by EBC to centralize the Federal Government’s digital communication. Built in just 25 days, from concept to launch, this project was developed using Plone, showcasing how robust sites can be created quickly with a lean team of just three people.
Every day, around 500 news articles from 300 government websites are imported, reviewed, and, if they meet editorial standards, published. In its first year, the site hit 42 million views, a huge success right from the first week of operation.
Alongside Agência Gov, we’ll also introduce two other sites from the Gov 'family': Canal Gov, a VOD platform also built in Plone using REST API to power its mobile app, and Rádio Gov, launched in 2024, which distributes audio content to radio stations across Brazil."
